3 D1 State Champs for Brookline

Not 1, not 2, but 3 State Champs at MIAA D1 States for Brookline



Luke Albanese (126), Abe Spurlock (182), and Dan Solomon (195) took home state titles at the Division D1 State Tournament this weekend at Metheun HS. Derek Torres (106) and Sandro Bruni (220) also took home 8th place medals. Brookline finished 5th in the D1 team race and recorded the most State Champions (3) for all 3 divisions(D1,D2,D3). Congrats Wrestlers and Coaches

D1 Central Sectionals Runner-ups

Brookline Wrestling - Runner-up Honors at D1C Sectionals with 10 Wrestlers qualifying for States!


Wow! Great weekend for our Warrior Grapplers! The team finished  2nd in team scoring to take home Runner-up honors in the D1 Central Sectional Tournament 10 (new record) of our wrestlers took home hardware and qualified to move on to the D1 State Tournament next Friday! (Methuen HS)
 
Luke Albanese, Abe Spurlock, and Dan Solomon - 1st, Derek Torres, Evan Hsu, Sandro Bruni - 2nd, Lyle Gray, Niko Georgaklis, Hayden Whitley, Inal Mashukov - 3rd.
In addition, Abe was voted by the coaches as Outstanding Wrestler. Awesome!

Broookline Wrestling 2018-19 Bay State Champs

Brookline Wrestling secures its first ever Bay State Conference Championship!



Since Coach Trevour Smith took over head coach the Warriors wrestling program has been on the rise. It was only 4 years ago that Brookline suffered a painful loss to Framingham 84-0. Ouch. This season the Warriors battled Framingham in a head to head dual meet to secure it's first ever Bay State Conference Championship to remain undefeated (8-0) in BSC matches. The Warrior Grapplers ended the season with a perfect 9-0 conference by defeating cross town rivals Newton North 54-18.
